Summer Coda_Day 14_The Double

Canon 5D Mark II camera and Canon 70-200 f2.8 L series IS USM lens @ 155mm. Exposure Details: 1/800 second @ f3.2 ISO 400

Jake is a local working on the set of the Australian motion picture film Summer Coda, set and filmed in his hometown, Mildura. I made this image of Jake while he was standing in for one of the cast as a way for director Richard Gray and DOP Greg Marigny to envisage the actor walking through the orange grove prior to stopping, at a pre-determined spot for a mid length shot. This also allowed the camera crew to set particular distance points at which to focus the lens to and maintain sharpness while the actor moved through the orange grove.

Adobe Lightroom 2 and Adobe Photoshop CS4 were employed to process the original color image and render it into the resulting warm toned black-and-white photo you see above.
