Light Kisses

This image features a section of one of the famous Twelve Apostles with the mighty Southern Ocean in the background. It forms part of a triptych (3 images within a single frame) that, in this case, provides an alternative to the more traditional panoramic view of the scene. I love the image’s rich colors, warm/cool color contrast, velvet-like texture and the way the light kisses the cresting wave and rock face.

Processing was conducted in Adobe Camera RAW and Adobe Photoshop CS4.

  1. Hi Glenn,

I like the deep blue ocean, I’m guessing one of positive attributes of using slide film ? How would make a triptych out of this particular image ?

Also couple of the guys from the class have set up their own blogs. I am not too far behind in mine either.

    cheers

  2. Now THAT’S what I call blue. 🙂

  3. Hi Veeral,

Great news about your new blog. This image is one of three individual images which are mounted into three separate windows within a single matt and then placed into the one frame. Thus three pics within the one frame. This allows you to explore, for example, three expressions, moments or transitions in time within the one presentation.

    All the best,

    Glenn
